Going for something really cheesy and corny can backfire many times, but then again, it all depends on the situation. Some occasions will require a golf team name that passes a message, whereas some other situations will simply require an extremely funny and ridiculous name.

What is the average golf score needed to join a high school golf team?
Hi! I am a freshman, and I would like to try golfing this spring. What is usually the average score (approximately) needed to make the team? Thanks for your help!
Like it was said above it usually depends upon location and how big a school. For a boy's team (my boyfriend was the number one) they usually like a single digit handicap and the number one was a scratch golfer. But generally the JV is happy with bogey golf. For a girls teams (I'm the number one) they are usually take bogey golf but I'm a 3 handicap and the JV is okay with taking beginners. Generally at a tryout the coaches will take into account what they see beyond just the golf game, if you look like a hard worker or if its clear that you're having a bad day, and if you have a lot of potential. Generally freshmen can go either way, it depends upon how much experience you already have and they'll keep most freshmen on JV to "save them" for following years.
Hope this helped and good luck on the golf team!
